Ashtanga in Galway – With Luke Jordan

  • by
Luke Jordan Galway Ashtanga Workshop

Luke Jordan will be holding an Ashtanga Workshop in the wonderful seafront Ashtanga Yoga Galway studio. Luke is a dedicated certified Ashtanga Yoga Teacher, lucky to be one of the few to have practiced with Sri Pattabhi Jois in India.

I attend a workshop with Luke at least once every year, he will also be in Belfast, March 7 – March 10, in The Yoga Tree studio. It is a great opportunity to learn more about the Ashtanga, delve deeper into your practice and experience traditional methods. It is also a chance to meet other like minded people in a warm and welcoming environment. Luke is a natural story-teller, I enjoy the entertaining and philosophical lessons that we can learn, as we sit around in circle after practice, listening to the captivating tales. Luke has studied Sanskrit and has a Masters in Indian Religion, and the Vedic chanting sessions in each workshop can take us back to the roots of yoga.

I encourage all my dedicated yogis to take part in one of these workshops, you will need a strong Ashtanga practice (not for beginners). I teach private clients the Ashtanga Primary Series and hope to have more Ashtanga Yoga in Newry in future. Luke Jordan has been to Newry before and we aim to get him back here and show off a strong Ashtanga community.

Namaste, Paddy
